A portion of the proceeds from the Gala will contribute to the establishment of the inaugural Centre Haitien d’Actions Humanitaires (CEHAH) cultural center in Toronto, Canada. This center will serve as a beacon of empowerment and cultural enrichment for the Haitian community and beyond.

Haitiwood isn’t just a catchy name; it represents a transformative blueprint for Haiti’s present and future. Much like Nollywood, the world’s third-largest film industry, which emerged from a visionary few seizing an untapped market and leveraging low production costs, Haiti possesses similar potential.
With its low production costs and a significant demand for French-Creole content, coupled with its rich history and culture that have left a global imprint, Haiti stands poised to captivate global audiences. By harnessing basic technical skills, Haitian content can transcend borders, reaching audiences worldwide.
Our mission is to unveil Haiti’s hidden treasures through a groundbreaking film that not only educates and guides Haitian filmmakers but also inspires global audiences. Through a 6-week production in Haiti with a local crew, we will immerse aspiring filmmakers in every aspect of the filmmaking process, from set protocol to actor direction. This endeavor entails three months of pre-production and six months of comprehensive post-production, during which we will collaborate with students eager to delve into production and editing.The proceeds from this film will fuel ongoing production endeavors in Haiti, nurturing a continuous cycle of film, series, and documentaries, thus contributing to the cultural and economic enrichment of the nation.

We’re developing a Pay-as-you-go Short-form features streaming app tailored for phones, enabling Haitian Filmmakers to distribute and monetize their content globally. This initiative not only unlocks economic opportunities but also shares Haitian cultures and stories with the world.
Viewers can watch dozens of minute-long episodes on app for free via multiple platforms, including YouTube and TikTok. But at some point, they must either pay or watch ads to unlock subsequent episodes.
